The Iberians, Portugal and Spain, were still the dominant slave traders. 2/3 of the transatlantic slave trade was them: and they slaughtered more Indians within the first 50 years than there were Indians in North America when white men arrived. Uniquely brutal. Hun and Turk levels of carnage. The French were just “around” compared to the Iberians.

@IIrandhandleII You should find out why Nietzsche said "God is dead.' It wasn't an autopsy, it was to make note of the enormous, malevolent and quixotic blind spot in 'thinkers' like you have. You've lived long enough to see the 'hockey stick' empirically disproven, yet you believe it. You 'believe' science. That's the hole you have, the smugness you have it, the incuriousness not to cure it and the dogma to pervade the fallacies. I bet you congratulate yourself ALL the time, huh?

You can see the new lines of hegemonic containment coming. IMO, as an American, let China have Iran.

I have yet to hear how “costing America friends” is a virtue. How does Israel help America, stupid?

@growthandunderstanding As opposed to what, though? What? The Africans themselves? Have you seen how Africans treat other Africans? The true story of colonialism isn’t just how Europeans brought modernity to savages — yes, savages — as a way to stop being so savage to the other. You know the longest genocide in history was almost complete when the Dutch landed in South Africa and accidentally interrupted it, right? No African is worse of for meeting the Europeans. It’s just that you don’t know their alternative.

Your inability to see Russia enacting a kind of Monroe Doctrine in its territory not only taints your understanding of this affair but my trust in your understanding of other affairs.
2
@NulledSeries You’re speaking my language poorly as a feral subhuman, and you’re telling me to “cope”? Laughable. Go find your missing father in one of the prisons, boy.
2
Doubtful. China is now saddled with the mullahs and their discontented people. China will get its oil and deal with its unrest.

“mais les américains...!”

Except all of Europe is feckless.

@omrimoshe3993 If we believe Orwell, then there is no law, only power. There are no significant armies in Europe and, even if there were, they don't have leaders who would use it or people that would condone it. So not only could Europe not respond to aggression, but they also couldn't even mount a blockade or enforce an embargo to anything that violated their stated policies. 100 years ago, Turkey was the 'sick man of Europe.' Now ALL of Europe is the sick man of Europe. Under Obama, in the US, Americans began what's called a 'pivot to Asia' where we — I'm American — essentially gave up on Europe. I thought Obama to be an amatuer president, but he wasn't wrong about giving up on Europe.

Not disproving, merely replacing.

The last time Americans put their faith in their former blacks in another country, they created Liberia. I would favor black American migration outside the country, but it’s hard to wish that cruelty on Liberia again.

They have that level of control to protect the interests they entirely built. Africans are terrible at literally everything but failure, including monetary policy. Imagine building the only reason Africans stay alive at higher rates in their country and then those same Africans suddenly think it’s theirs. You don’t understand “colonialism.” You can’t. Nothing in Africa was built by Africans, nor did it look like anything was ever going to get built there. Subsaharan africans never stacked stones or domesticated an animal, despite being surrounded by both.
1
But we don’t ask the right questions — how much more shitty would these countries be if not for the French? If you think they would improve, then you’re immediately telling me you know literally nothing about Africa by axiom.
1
@growthandunderstanding I like how you’re not smart enough to know you wrote that in a European language.
1
It always came from banks. Why do you think out small hat friends kept getting the boot all over Europe?

Hungary.

And importing a third-world population of violent, low-IQ stock that the British are forced to subsidize with their own money and compete with them for the same goods in cities they destroy and make too dangerous for commerce. London became Detroit the same way Detroit did. Wasn’t complex machinations and missed opportunities — it was the outsiders who squat in places no one who looks like them built. That’s the isolated reason why, like it or not.
1
Who created those economies that then wanted independence from their creators? It’s so fascinating where you begin your stories and how you omit the people already there who took French money to be passed along to their people but didn’t. How do you even pretend to understand the history of Africa without knowing its post-colonial brutality?
1
@NulledSeries they would live naked in the dirt if it were still up to them.
1
And? You’re getting your products from those mines. It’s so odd how you isolate who’s at fault, though it can never be blamed on your consumption, can it? Why do you absolve yourself from this process?
1
NATO is a joke and America should leave it.

Semite mind.

Not America. The very small amount of slavery in north america has become the ONLY slavery that every happened by the world. The weak punish the strong now.
1
How do you exploit those that have never developed their own civilization and have not even the concept of work? You can hate the French for legitimate reasons, you don’t have to hate them to cover for the ineptitude of the savages who would devolve into a Conrad novel if the French left.
1
I say we let Russia take the entire Anatolian Penninsula and finally push out the Turks and finish the reconquistas of the Balkans and Byzantium. Constantinople shall rise again!
1
@shyshy4273 Slavery is not a productive economic model for anyone involved except traders.
1
If you’re being heavily taxed to participate in the market, then it’s not capitalism. This is very basic economics you’re fucking up.
1
@OleOlson No one cares what you argue, already stupid person. Capitalism is the lack of government: you’re objectively stupid. Glad to help, stupid!
1
@alexanderii4807 Communists and islamists have similar motives and means. Most Islamic countries are at least fascist in that they have a historicity and have imported the west's worst idea — marxism. The Iranian revolution mirrors the soviet revolution more than it varies.
1
Asir Newaz Khan Just don’t be so simple to have China own you.
1
As opposed to what? Who built those offices? What do you actually know about the people of Africa? What is “jungle justice?” Do you know? What structure would these savages have without the French? That’s the irony here — if the French left, in 50 years your children would accuse them of abandoning Africa. Can’t you see the world as it is through the narratives? What has Africa ever made?
