  1. The problem is by YOUR isolation. You think these “basement dwellers” don’t know the data and are naive about race and crime. I used to, as well. They know. They push these people into your neighborhoods KNOWING they’re murderous and will depress property value. Once that property is distressed, it’s cheaper. Then it all gets bought up under small hat management, remodeled and THEN they’ll get tough on crime after you’re gone and the new tenants are in.
