  15. This guy has the right ideas and approach. He's talking about having the obligation to talk to Russians in Russia, trying to figure out ways how to change things in Russia. Doesn’t anyone wonder why you can get 10 years in prison just for talking about the war and criticize the Russian military and everything that is happening in Ukraine? It’s so far over the top and beyond, and the only reason it can be is because Putin is afraid. Sometime people need to wake up from this imperialism dream and Nato getting closer to Russias border nonsense. Why do so many people believe in anything Putin says to begin with? There's absolutely no logical reason for this war. None! Unless of course Putin is afraid of Russia becoming a democracy. I don't think Putin wanted this at all, he had to invade Ukraine because there where no other options left on the table, and for many years now he has seen this threat growing each year. I may be up around a thousand comments on Youtube by this point about this error. It's been a year and I feel there is no one listening. Not one single person has ever explained to me that I'm wrong and here's the reasons why, it's just dead silence, no respons whatsoever. And sure to a degree it’s anyone's guess, but still. Not one single argument against it. I just find that incredibly remarkable. And no one seems to be questioning the importance of knowing the actual reason either. Meanwhile politicians and media it's still talking about Russia like it’s their inherited imperialistic world view, and it’s about the interests of Russia’s national security and Putin thinking it’s the hostile Nato’s fault blah blah blah blah blah… And we seem to eat it all up, whatever loony story Putin is feeding us with, we’re still listening to him. Like Putin is not out of the ordinary. Like there’s a normal country we’re talking about. Like it’s not a corrupt kleptocratic government and not to mention, despite the fact that we have deemed Russia a terrorist state to begin with. For some reason, imperialistic dreams it’s still the only possible agenda for the war in Ukraine. WTF!? The reason I care about it is because it’s hurting our ways to deal with Russia and the war itself. I know the outcome will be about the same whatever the actual reason is, but the end result in terms of casualties will obviously be different if we can find a way to end this war earlier, or if there's other ways than people getting blown to pieces on the battlefield as well as civilians. As dictatorships goes, they tend to do whatever they can to remain in power, it’s not a new concept to anyone. And yet Putin being afraid of Russia becoming a democracy is somehow not even considered as being the reason for this senseless war. Apparently it’s much more likely he wants the best for Russia and the Russians and they need to have these insurances, these absolutely insane demands that their neighboring countries should act as cushion states because Russia needs to appear big and strong. Putin feels betrayed too because of all the efforts and promises of insurances he has made to Ukraine, who then refuses to have any of it. If only there had been countries threatening to invade Russia, that’s at least something to go on. But no. Try to figure out Putin’s next move if you don’t know why he choose to invade Ukraine and Georgia in the first place. The fact that over 60% of the Russian population is still supporting Putin is absolutely crazy. That is a huge problem. We all need to talk about Putin as the murderer he is. As the thief he is who has stolen billions from the Russian citizens. The very same citizens he has now sent to die in Ukraine to essentially defend these crimes. The Russian people have been fooled for 20+ years and I understand that is hard for many of them to take in but somewhere in there is the best way to start making a difference.
