  1.  @evanburgess8428  - Actually you are thinking of two separate incidents that did happen very close together, the shooting down of KAL-007 and the annual US nuclear training exercise named Archer. It was the simulated nuclear strike test by the U.S. that were misinterpreted by Russia and had us on the brink of all out nuclear war. I remember these details so well because I was stationed in Okinawa when all this happened and my battalion was put on lockdown to prepare to be transferred to the port in Naha and be put aboard Naval ships. We came closer then than the Cuban Missile crises and very few people know this, Russia thought the simulation was real and the order was actually given to fire an ICBM but a Russian Major refused to do it until it had been confirmed by multiple sources. I forget that Russian Majors name now but that man literally saved the world by himself and it was after this incident that a permanently manned hotline was setup between the US & Russia and protocols were established for each side to inform the other side drills were being conducted. It’s still in use today, in fact both the US and Russia have used this system in the last month as each was conducting nuclear drills.

The was it works is sends in meat-waves of 12 to 50 men at a time across open fields with no artillery or armored assaults, most are killed but 2 or 3 will survive and they crawl off and take cover behind anything they can and they are now closer to Ukrainian lines. Then the next wave is sent and another after that, eventually you have a couple groups of 10-20 survivors positioned closer to the Ukrainian lines and you send these men forward along with another meat-wave coming up behind them and send in armor & artillery assaults. This keeps repeating, it works but Russia takes an extreme levels of casualties that no other military in the world would accept. This is how Russia has always fought wars, they have a large population they consider to be expendable and they don’t care how many casualties they take, Russia has always fought this way, this guys whole claim to fame is that he reads military history books and he should know that but he is here to make money off of Vatniks for telling them what they want to hear, not the truth.

  5. I spent a year in a military bridging company, trust me they can all be very easily knocked out which is why there is always a lot of air defense systems & dedicated counter battery artillery protecting them at all times.

  6.  @ZacheryTwa  - So a guy in his 20’s who’s read a little history, he doesn’t have a military history degree or anything of the sort but is just a guy who read some military history and he knows more about military & warfare than the all the retired generals & admirals at the Institute for the Study of War who have spent over 40 years in the military each and have access to all kinds of intelligence & connections in the military? If knowing a little military history is all that’s needed to make you an expert then why aren’t militaries all over the world hiring 20-something’s who never spent a day in the military but read military history as their advisors? Why do they go to ISW & Rand Corp for their information when their local community college holds all the information they need to make decisions & predictions? Do you see how silly that sounds, thinking a 20-something kid who never spent a day in the military and doesn’t even have an hour of formal military experience, training or education knows things that nobody else does? Or perhaps he is just telling you what you just want to hear, about how the side you are pulling for in a war is not the corrupt & inept military organization everyone else in the world with actual military experience & education says they are?

He makes the Israeli army sound weak and the offensive will be like the Russian offensive in Avdiivka where thousands died and they loss massive amounts of armor. The IDF is a professional army, they have well over half a million troops and thousands of American Jews have been flying there join the fight and America will give them wherever they need. Perhaps if Ukraine was offered immediate NATO membership but I don’t see it happening unless America stops all aid. If the west continues to supply them with weapons in ever increasing power they will win. Even if Russia does take this territory Ukraine will continue an insurrection & asymmetrical Warfare against them in these occupied regions making staying there far too expensive in lives & materials. Ukraine is far from running out of soldiers and can easily field another million if necessary and they take casualties at a much lower rate than Russia because of their tactics & western hardware.

It’s also called the gateway to the rest of Donetsk which is true but those two cities are much larger and much more heavily fortified than Bakhmut plus they are on the high ground with all approaches being wide open fields. They are also a lot further away from the Russian border and don’t have a rail line connection into Russia like Bakhmut did. How in the world can anything think that Russia can take those two much more difficult cities? Wagner won’t be leading anymore assaults, they are a spent force who’s supply of cannon fodder has been cut off, think the Russian army will be able to do it?

I didn’t make this up, I don’t even fully agree with because I worked near and witnessed the FFL operate in the Gulf War which had a lot of Frenchmen back then but Franc’s reputation is what it is.

The vast majority of what they have predicted has come true and all agree that Kherson will fall within 4 weeks and all of Russias military will have been driven into Crimea by summer where the last stand will take place and everything Russia has will be in HIMARS range and will be destroyed. 😂

Soon their will be thousands of more dead rotting Russian bodies strewn along Ukrainian roads in the Kherson region like road kill as there was in Kharkiv last month, Russians have room on their trucks for all the washer & dryers they looted from Ukrainian homes when they flee in panic but not enough room to take their dead bodies & wounded with them 😂😂🤣

  32.  @patriotenfield3276  - Yes I hear it often Russia is actually fighting NATO troops, not Ukrainians, which is why Russia is not doing better, and that of course is not true. There are thousands of foreigners from all over the world fighting on both sides but we are talking a couple thousand, not tens of thousands or any numbers close to what would be needed to change the course of this war. A New York Times investigation in March of this year found that there may only be 1,500 in the Foreign Legion including many who “engaged in fraud and stolen valor” whatever in the hell that means. Russia also has a few fighters from Syria, Africa & Middle Eastern nations but I think it’s safe to say the vast amount of people fighting & dying in the war are average Ukrainians and Russians from the rural areas and others who were too poor to escape or bribe their way out of going to what they know is a needless bullshit war.

They can’t produce the electronic components & processors, the high end lenses and so on. Russia reverse engineered all the war materials America sent them in WWII and a B-29 that had to made an emergency landing in Russia was copied so exactly they even copied the bullet hole patches.

  39. No that’s a lie, Russia recruited everyone they could get their hands on, people arrested for minor crimes, the homeless and even people dying of cancer. Russian conscripts who did their 1 year were not trained they were used as base maintenance, did work on officers homes and were extorted, many never fired a single shot an AK. They are nothing like the highly trained reservist in professional western militaries and their performance on the battlefield is all the evidence you need to prove that. Over 2 years and the second most powerful military in the world can’t even capture a single major city or one of the 26 regional capitols and lost half their navy to a country without a navy? Russia with nuclear weapons, satellites, nuclear submarines, hypersonic missiles and the massive Soviet arsenal they inherited and they can’t even defeat the poorest country in Europe who they share a border with. Do any of you realize just how truly pathetic the Russian military is or that they are the laughing stock of the world?

There ware some Russian conscript POW’s captured in Advika in March who had been mobilized in February, they had been civilians 4 weeks earlier. Russia took massive casualties taking Advika and were grabbing everyone they could and that’s exactly what they are doing right now to replenish their massive casualties because Papa Putin had to have his little town before his election.

I’m getting my information on where these breaches are taking place and the size of them from independent military think tanks, ISW & Rand whereas this guy who has no military experience whatsoever and especially not in a specialized field like combat engineering and who gets all his “facts” from the Kremlin which is state media along with pro-Russian bloggers has got this wrong. He is just repeating state media and sprinkles in a little completely irrelevant military history from bygone areas and Vatniks like you just eat this shit up and he cashes in.   50.  @fatdaddy1996  - No it’s not, it’s the first line just as it is with any military and Russia is no different. 60% of their resources were dedicated to the first line and the remaining 40 split on the other lines. The few decent troops Russia has, VDV, have been shuffled all around the front to hotspots plugging holes and they have suffered, its mobilized troops in the other trenchlines and they are shit troops. Russian defensive military doctrine is based around 2 concepts: defense in depth and manuever warfare. The reserves they keep in depth with the second & third lines have already been used and as the world is very aware of Russia does not have the ability to conduct maneuver warfare as they cannot gain air superiority so aircraft launch from Russian airspace. Ukraine is not going to have a rapid breakthrough, very unlikely they will reach the Sea of Astov before mud & winter, they are moving slowly because they have to secure their flanks to keep from getting encircled, which is the pipe dream you are thinking about but won’t happen, they ain’t stupid, nobody gets encircled in this war.
