  1. Russian servicemen probably don't have the will fight and the advent of social media doesn't help Putin's cause. Unlike the cold war era, everything is a lot more transparent these days so Russians have options now - they're not as beholden to the "state" for highly censored information as they were in the 1970's. Accessing your smartphone and realizing that you're part of a lost cause according to the court of public opinion before the invasion has even started will take the zing right out of you.
