Yeah, it has turned into a circus for sure. I was laid off in December from a really good job. I knew it was coming because the numbers just weren't there to justify my salary. Fast forward to now and job searching has morphed into a conundrum. Recruiters are all eager to talk,showering me with praise about my past experience, but they don't follow up, or they ignore me mid-process. I'm constantly getting ghosted and getting notifications that the job I applied for has been closed or put on hold.
