  1. Regarding his last statement about mankind approaching the end because there's no such thing as "true love" anymore. Keep in mind that throughout history marriages have always been transactional or utilitarian for the most part. Marrying for love is a novel concept, especially in Western cultures. It came about during the age of enlightenment (1800's) when romantic love gained prominence in relationships. The problem with marrying for love is that we fall in and out of love all the time, and a ring along with a fancy, expensive ceremony will never change that dynamic. We're still biological creatures in the end.
