  1. This trend has everything to do with the advent of streaming, social media, etc. We no longer live in a linear timeline. Anyone can you-tube or Google videos of music styles from days gone by and relive it as if it's happening in the present. The world is flat. A ten year old kid from Saskatoon can become a master at playing music styles from the Ivory Coast just by immersing himself in the genre by way of Youtube.
