I saw the video and was wondering if the wings were still attached during the vertical dive. It's hard to tell based on the dash-cam footage. You would think that the structural integrity would have been compromised with the wings tearing right off the fuselage because those 737 wings are not designed to withstand that amount of force.

Remember the Lauda Air crash during the early 90's when the trust reverser on that 767 deployed mid-air, uncommanded? Due to airplane losing lift on one side, the plane rapidly descended in a near vertical nose dive at almost the speed of sound. Perhaps something deployed mid air on this flight as well that wasn't supposed to?
