Gun violence in America is a problem, but you need to drill down a little deeper to get to the root of the problem. Almost everybody in my zip code is armed to the teeth, and there are about five gun stores within a seven mile radius of my house. There are, however, practically no gun homicides or violent crimes in my area. Poverty, incarceration, drug use, homelessness/mental illness, inter-generational familial issues, etc., are also non-existent in my neck of the woods. Put two and two together. If you really want to see the wretched and dark side of life in the U.S., do a search for the "zombies" of Kensington in Philadelphia.
