  1. This is 100% spot on! I've always worked 100% remote as an outside sales representative, but that changed when I switched jobs three years ago. The new role was initially mostly remote with some hybrid weeks here and there, so all good there. However, about six months ago everything made a 180 turn with newly mandated in-office schedules, and it all coincided with a new manager who was obsessed with micromanagement and making employees do kindergarten-like activities (meaningless spreadsheet projects, mandatory "fun" initiatives, pretending we're all a big "family", etc). This was obviously spearheaded to justify the manager's job, and I was having serious issues keeping a straight face during meetings. It was farcical.
