LinkedIn reminds me of online dating sites where when you first meet someone you are talking to their marketing agent instead of the real person. Everyone is trying to sell themselves by adding meaningless fluff and activity related content to their profile. Moreover, 90% of people who are on LinkedIn "liking" posts are doing it because they think it's expected of them by either their employer or potential clients. Think of LinkedIn as Sunday church attendance of days gone by. Nobody really wants to go to church but they're doing it because it's expected of them.
