Licensed CCW carriers crack me up! They're all John Wayne when talking about their willingness to intervene in a live shooter scenario, but here's the rub......you do NOT know how you will react in a real life scenario. You know why? Those paper targets you've been shooting at at the range never fired back!! You're not going to override your amygdala/ limbic system during a life or death, fight or flight scenario. You'll be running for cover like everyone else.

@matthewcaughey8898 What wannabe "tough guys" and "tactical" 2nd amendment cowboys fail to understand is that during an active shooter scenario, the assassin with innate psychopathic traits (remorseless, callous, low neuroticism) always has the advantage. Killing is instrumental and not affect related to them - they don't hesitate to pull the trigger whereas a normal person with emotions will naturally think about self preservation. You need to be subjected to intense real life scenario shooter to overcome your innate inclinations........something to think about.

@sark4786 I own A LOT of firearms but I'm also realistic about active shooter scenarios. What I'm espousing about paper targets not shooting back is exactly what most firearms instructors have told me . You simply do not know how you're going to react when someone is actually firing back at you. It's a whole different equation from playing "tough guy" at the range while ordering tactical gear online from Cheaper Than Dirt.

@TWEEK0423 What I said is not rocket science so try to stay with me. All I'm saying is that controlled venues like a shooting range do not trigger your limbic system like in a real life scenario. Trust me....you won't act like the same CCW tough guy behind your keyboard. Same goes for me handing you a .44 magnum powerhead with scuba gear and asking you to jump off my boat to square off against an aggressive bull shark. Your natural inclination is "flight". CCW carriers need to be subjected to real life tactical training scenarios in order to override your innate response when hearing .556 ammo fired in rapid succession.
