I'm in the same boat. My LDL and total cholesteral are a bit high but my ratio, tryglycerides, and HDL all are good. My doc went into auto pilot mode and recommended a statin, but I politely refused based on the ABSOLUTE RISK meta analysis study from 2022. This study compiled data from about 25 peer reviewed studies and clinical trials from 1987 and on. All cause mortality and cardiovascular events only saw a 0.9% to 1.3% reduction with statins. This is statistically insignificant. To break it down in layman's terms, this would equate to treating 77 people with statins for 4.5 years in order to reduce 1 incidence of a heart attack. Pharmaceutical companies were releasing data based of relative risk vs absolute risk, but you need to look at the big picture.

There's nothing wrong with Ativan if you take it responsibly, like .5 mg here and there a couple of times a month. Ativan and benzos in general are not meant to be taken every day and in large doses.

Withdrawal can happen when taking benzos in larger doses and for months on end, which is irresponsible. If you take a benzo two or three times a week you'll be fine. Don't listen to all the horror stories.

Oumuamua and BLC-1. Exciting times for astrophysicists to say the least.
