I think he was involved in sex scandal about to be outed by that Judge (turning a blind eye knowing of the sex) since he got screwed and his wife threw him out and his life was over so he took out the enemy who betrayed him! It’s most plausible! He didn’t care what happened to him as he was homeless and job on line with the lawsuit and more against him coming!
