When the last of the stars die and leave behind black holes, they won't be emitting Hawking radiation. They will be emitting ECONOMICS.

@Edax_Royeaux There was a good reason why modern assault rifles are manufactured with two firing modes. It is so ammo doesn't get wasted.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Yes, but it is still expensive, even if the military has had the "burden" of pricing off its shoulders. It will surely eat into production elsewhere.
1
@Edax_Royeaux The thing is here, most French people were perfectly willing to put up with a poorer standard of living in order to win the war. But be honest with me, are you willing to put up with a poorer standard of living to win a war halfway around the world?
1
@Edax_Royeaux I was referring to Iraq and Afghanistan.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Remember, it was a suggestion to improve army logistics, and nobody is saying people should have to build their own nukes.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Who said it had to be national currency? Another kind of exchange token used exclusively within the military could work as well.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Sure, but there is nothing stopping you from pegging it to your national currency.
1
@Edax_Royeaux And yet it is still a preferable alternative to central planning. Explain how this would make logistics worse.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Not saying it would, I was just proposing a system that eliminated the need for central planning in logistics but also wouldn't involve the solder not going into debt.
1
@Edax_Royeaux There was rationing, but you still had to pay your 4 shillings and sixpence to get food.
1
@Edax_Royeaux I still don't see how a market with limits on how much people could buy is central planning.
1
@Edax_Royeaux What about production? In fact, people were encouraged to grow foods by themselves, such as the Potato Pete propaganda campaign. The economy while heavily restricted was still incomparable to the actually centrally planned economy of the Soviet Union.
1
@Edax_Royeaux A command economy is "another term for a planned economy ". Yes, it was all a great effort to make food locally and to reduce dependence on overseas trade, but it wasn't the same as a planned economy. If it was a planned economy, you wouldn't need currency to get goods, you would just need your coupons. Again, government regulations don't mean the economy is necessarily centrally planned and if you think we didn't go communist, just look at our post-war economy and consensus.
1
@Edax_Royeaux Well that's great, so can I still have central planning in logistics and the use of currency?
1
@Edax_Royeaux I am not saying it is a free market economy, I am saying it is a market economy.
