  1. Yup, but if you refuse to go into work, that can be consider as you quitting, or getting fired for not showing up to work, and you can't claim both severance payment or unemployment compensation if you do that. All you can do is show up to work, and work.

  2. What are you going to sue? Remote work is not a right, otherwise Mcdonald/fast food employees would sue for having to go into work. The only people that "can attempt to sue" are the DEI employees getting layoff, but the ones that the government said they have to come in to work, well their screwed, they either come in or they resign or get fired.
