Regarding fuel consumption: there is a difference in attitude. MPG states that you have one gallon of fuel (woohoo!) - so how far can you go? The metric equivalent states that you have 100 km to go, so how much fuel will that cost? The MPG standard is more optimistic, and encourages waste.

It gets even worse. Precious metals are measured in troy ounces = 31.1 grams instead of an ounce avoirdupoids at 28.35

I found it remarkable when a single-hand sailor was in the Indian Ocean, looked up, saw ISS - and realized that the crew on board were the humans closest to her.

0:07 WTF??? The soundtrack ideally might have given us a reference sample of wave noise - well, you know... what your narrative was telling us; instead, there's a classic toxic thump-thump-thump bullshit soundtrack dubbed in, supposed to make you sound cool. Major fail.

Approx 06:23 Telluranium? What mythical periodic table lists this element?

II am not someone you can fob off with a cheap denial. I had sold high-purity tellurium to a research institute in France; cvd cadmium telluride was part of my sales arsenal.... I can accurately pronounce 'tellurium' -- can you? Apparently not. Review your material and get back to me if you had not severely mangled your pronunciation of ''tellurium'

Huge logistics trouble. ISS is not really that far up there. On a clear night, on the right time: you can see it streak by. Refuel and supply services are not the equivalent of an Apollo moonshot, as they might be if the Station were that far away.

I oppose the use of depleted uranium munitions. These can be immensely effective on the field of battle, but also present an extended health hazard for many generations.

@WilhelmKarsten Depleted Uranium is essentially a waste product; ammonium paratungstate is expensive.

Insane engineering often follows insane expectations.

Vinyl might also be popular because its playback requires more personal engagement. With digital, you just hit 'play'; with vinyl, you make sure the record is clean, correct that if not, and one will need to carefully lower the stylus onto the record.. There might be a similarity with the introduction of instant cake mixes. The first of these products only needed the addition of water before baking - and sales were very low; when the mixes were reformulated to require adding an egg, housewives then felt that they put some effort into producing the cake, and sales took off. This case study is taught in any decent Marketing course.
