+Georgia Englot Hannibal was a superb commander, and his victory at Cannae is taught in military academies around the world. You assertion that "his forces killed millions of Romans" is quite unlikely, given the small populations living at the time; certainly he had not led to "the downfall" of Rome, which instead brought the 2nd Punic War to Carthaginian soil under Scipio the African, then to defeat Hannibal at the Battle of Zama. Carthage was destroyed, and Rome went on to become a superpower. You got it massively wrong. Sorry.

+AnymousScreams The vomit wasn't the major comedic element - that was [at least, meant to be] the obsequiousness of the Maitre D'. A precursor of Fawlty Towers. I also disliked the scene. It was nowhere near as funny as so many other takes,... just in the Life of Brian - such as the Latin lesson, or "what have the Romans ever given us?" Come to think of it, perhaps every scene in 'Brian was funnier.

D Day far outclassed Stalingrad in the planning, the preparations, the complex logistics. It remains the most complex military operation to this day. I'd like to give a nod to the WWII British-led North Africa campaign, which yielded a victory on a scale comparable to Stalingrad.

+Andrew b You allege that Canada "will be bankrupt soon";' yet the prime rate is only 2.7%. How would you explain this lack of compensating risk premium?

Americans might express the date as month/day/year as they might say 'May the third, 2019'.
