  1. A friend had been depressed and dangerously close to suicide. A mutual acquaintance gave him a minor dose of LSD and stayed with him as a guide through the experience. His thoughts of suicide went away. It is fully possible that the counselling alone was what made the difference; but someone is alive, a husband, and a father, because somebody cared enough to break a stupid law.

  2.  @jJust_NO_  Yes. Ergot infection of crops have explained incidences of mass hysteria, when the local grain crop had been "touched". The effects have not always been a round of 'kumbaya'
