@geoffreylincicome7298 this is generally true. What we are taught are "models" that help us understand the interactions and relationships between different components of a system. The concept of electrons and the nuclear atomic model is a great example. When broken down beyond quarks we have no clue what the matter is actually made of but we understand how it interacts. Same with electricity and a lot of other quantum concepts. Remember we still to this day do not have a unified theory. Our understanding of quantum physics is totally at odds with classical physics and no experiment has offered any explanation as to why. We act like the "model" is the truth but there is no reality other than reality which is where The Science comes into play. People refuse to acknowledge that challenging the consensus theory is the first step of the scientific process.
