@jonperry501 obviously but he was having an extremely primal and emotional response which was to protect his daughter from a predator. There was no way he was thinking rationally. He was in an extremely elevated state and had no chance of thinking clearly. That's what rage does to a man. Police did a great job of handling the situation with the father and obviously sympathized with the parents and wanted to put this guy in jail.
