  6. I don't understand your argument. I carry every day locked and ready to rock. That doesn't mean I don't take extensive precautions to ensure my gun is carried safely on my person. If I ever needed to use it, I am trained and prepared to unholster and fire my weapon on the intended target.

  9. The three common types of pistols are revolvers, hammer fired, and striker fired. Revolvers are as Joe stated. Hammer fired have hammers that need to be cocked by either racking the slide or pulling it back with your thumb. Striker fire cocks itself when you rack the slide and do not have external hammers.
