@lisag18 This is what Dr. Ellie was trying to point out in this video. That unless you change the composition of the saliva to be basic rather than acidic, plaque will continue to form. She recommends using xylitol for this (there may be other ways but generally involve some chewing). Dr. Ellie also was mentioning that diet is a factor that cannot be ignored.
