  1. It doesn't take that long either for things to start growing on floating junk. The Rose-Noëlle a trimaran with 4 men onboard that capsized in 1989, in the southern Pacific Ocean off the coast of New Zealand, had sea life growing on it after about 5 weeks. This attracted fish, enabling the men to survive adrift on the wreckage of the boat for 119 days. Theres a movie about it that here on YT called, Abandoned At Sea-Full Movie (2015). Shows how it happened, what went down, and how they started bickering and fighting during their ordeal.
