There used to be a video here on YT, of a Chinese official talking to his African counterpart, talking about the chaos that embroiled a large part of the continent since African countries got their independence. He basically admonishes the guy saying, "You got back functioning countries, rich in resources with developed, working infrastructure, billions in international aid came in every year, it was almost impossible to fail, yet in a short amount of time, you destroyed it." The African guy just looks sheepish the whole time and agrees with him. Wish i could find it again.
