I did a course some years back here in NZ, it was an "introduction to working in TV, Film and Radio" at the local Polytechnic, the local Maori Polytech ran the same course, except they had no gear so had to use ours. When the cameras and sound equipment wasn't being returned at all we had a moan to the head tutor, he was told by the Maori tutor at the other place that, "As Maori they didn't recognise colonial time", so didn't have to return the polytechs cameras and equipment at the time they agreed.....A couple of their students jumped ship to do the course with us saying it was a total mickey mouse run outfit. They also said EVERY student got an automatic A pass, regardless of how they did or if they even turned up! It was shut done about a year later when the Govt did an audit and found massive embezzlement of govt funds and other improprieties.
