  2. They were super noisy as far as Subs go, they could be picked up at great distances if they attempted any speed. Even at slow speeds they were considered noisy boats.

  3.  @anuvisraa5786  The Royal Navy Spearfish torpedo, introduced in the early 90s, was designed to catch the Alfa's. Its a moot point now because all 7 Alfas were decommissioned over 25 years ago.
