  1. My girlfriend is tutor, here in NZ, for a hotel management school, every year the same scene repeats its self. It goes like this. New year, new class of students, 70% are from China the rest are normally from India. The very first essay/paper they hand in, every single one, will be EXACTLY the same....every one. One student would have bought an essay/paper online or maybe plagiarised a one the found, or maybe paid a student further into the course to write one for them, told the other students and they all got onboard the fail train. She fails them and tells them plagiarism and cheating is an automatic fail. The Chinese students always complain at this point and say "But its allowed back home". Then when they realise that this isn't going to work, 3 things always happen, Some students realise the gig is up..and quit, most realise they are going to have to really work for this, and get down to work, but there is always plagiarism and cheating throughout the whole year, every now and then they, try it on, test the waters so to speak. And some, call their parents in China and get them to ring my GF with offers of cash bribes if she will only pass little Zang during any tests/essays, or look the other way. She doesn't accept, and those students drop out, quit. Every year this plays out at the start of a new intake of students.

  6. When the U.S was decommissioning some of its war planes from the 70s & 80s a scrap company put in a tender to scrap them, when the defence dept vetted the “scrap” company they found it was a Chinese owned company, and they had plans to send the tech back to China.
