Comments by "Dorian Shades of gray" (@dorianshadesofgray2981) on "Simone Biles says she wasn’t expecting to medal after winning bronze on balance beam" video.
She realised all her team mates were winning medals and that she was going to be forgotten..

Badass my ass. She pathetically pulls out of the teams event and lets her team mates down and then returns for the individual event when she realises her teams mates are doing well without her
3
Kierson Titus it's sad that she wins a bronze and gets more coverage than the women who win gold. This is the America of today.
2
She's an idiot who has destroyed her legacy because of one weak ass decision to pull out of the teams event on weak ass grounds
2
A L I know about character and sports and she has a complete lack of character to pull out of a teams event because she didn't feel up to it, this lack of mental fortitude is nothing to be admired
1
Kierson Titus she doesn't owe me anything but she owes her teammates something and if she is the greatest of all time then like everyone else out there she needed to confront her mental demons and helped her team out. Have you never heard the saying "When the going gets tough, the tough get going"
1
Kierson Titus I play team sports and every single athlete has days when they can't perform anywhere close to their peak , either thorough injury on fatigue or whatever . But I guarantee you most would fight through it and at least give it a go especially when a grand final or an Olympic gold is on the line. No matter how you try to spin this, history will remember how Biles let her teammates down but pulling out of the teams event and then competed in an individual event with her performance being good enough to win bronze .
1
Kierson Titus spoken like someone who doesn't play sports . Sports no matter what the event, whether it's a team event or individual is adversarial by nature and most times that adversary is yourself . Golfers are an example of sportspeople who have to overcome mental challenges to be able to win . I love the way you are try so hard to spin this as a noble act on her part but history will alway remember her as letting her team mates down when it counted .
1
Kierson Titus I'll finish this off because I'm repeating myself now , but it doesn't matter what you or I think of her actions as I guarantee that she herself being the fierce competitor that she was that has enabled her to be recognised as the GOAT will plague her decision to pull out of the teams event for the rest of her life ..I guarantee she already regrets it
1
J J you know nothing about me you moron , I've competed competitively as a decathlete, a footballer, full contact karate, and tennis ( when my body was not able to withstand the damage from all the other sports) also the fact that you don't know Dorian Gray is a fictional male character is just hilarious . BtW you've obviously never heard of "Lay down Sally" who was an Australian teams rower who lay down in the middle of the race while her team mates were still trying to compete . She has never been forgotten or forgiven by her team mates
1
@kiersontitus7322 what a load of rubbish. I’ve played football when I haven’t been feeling the best either through injury, fatigue or my mind was just not in the game at the time. So don’t give me this rubbish about gymnasts being a special breed who are fighting against an apparatus. Wait till you have a 300 pound mountain trying to rip your head off when you are don’t have a perfect mental status and then you’ll understand what danger is
1
@kiersontitus7322 piss off trying to compare the courage of a gymnast and a footballer. It’s actually laughable that you are trying to compare the two sports . One is full contact where the opposition is trying to hurt you and the others is doing” twistees” where if you get it wrong you land awkwardly on a soft mat as Simone was doing when she gave up on the vault. You people really are hilarious in your idea of courage .
1
Jil Pok she's not judging Olympic gymnastics you idiot. She's judging the pathetic attitude of Simone Biles n these Olympics .
1
Jil Pok yeah what a great attitude letting your teammates down at the most important meet in the world, then miraculously recovering to compete in the individual event
1
louise jones you've obviously never heard of Dorian Gray. Why are people so uneducated nowadays ?
1
Jil Pok I'd rather she toughed it out and competed in the teams event . Instead she has made bad decision after bad decision.
1
Kierson Titus The " Picture" of Dorian Gray. At least get that right.
1
@jilpok1074 every gymnast risks hurting themselves every time they compete because it is inherently a dangerous sport where one slight miscalculation could result in catastrophe, yet none of the other competitors pulled out , did they?
1
@jilpok1074 you idiot. This is an Olympic event . Just like every other athlete It doesn’t matter how they feel on the day , the world doesn’t stop and they have to give it their best effort .
1
Mrs. Marcie Smith and you believe her ?
1
Jil Pok I'm talking about her because I don't want future generations to admire someone who lets their teammates down when it really matters
1
Jil Pok did you actually read my initial comment? She didn't want to be forgotten so she somehow miraculously recovered from her debilitating manual illness and competed ... if only she had this mental fortitude in the teams event .
1
louise jones nor will Tonya Harding , but not for the reasons she wanted to be remembered for . The same will go for Simone Biles legacy
1
Kierson Titus I don't care if she downgraded her dismount in an individual event . Where was this compromise when it came to finishing in the teams event ?
1
Kierson Titus are you kidding me ? Look up the Kerri Strug , the female gymnast who had a broken leg but finished off her vault to help her team win a gold medal .... now that's impressive and to be admired
1
Kierson Titus I bet her teammates who lost the gold medal also outwardly support Biles ...but they will remember for the rest of their lives how Biles weakness cost them a chance at gold
1
Jil Pok you've obviously never played sports in your life. People admire athletes who against all odds get off the canvas and win.. why do you think the Rocky movies were so successful? The legacy and bravery of Kerri Strug will live on long after the people forget what the medal was for or even who her teammate were
1
Jil Pok do you really think Olympic gold medals fall off trees ? For most athletes getting to the Olympics is a once in a lifetime opportunity and medaling is the pinnacle of their career let alone getting a gold medal and getting another chance 4 years later .
1
Jil Pok Rocky symbolises what everyday people want to see out of their countries athletes... a fighter who against all odds get up and win...how many inspirational movies have you seen where the lead character pulls out of a major event because they weren't feeling well? Or war movies where the lead character surrenders when the going get tough ? Do you think Americans would revere the battle at the Alamo if the soldiers just surrendered because things got mentally tough
1
staszewa and so is Tonya Hardings legacy . But for all the wrong reasons.
1
Are you kidding me? She pulled out of most of the events and only came back because she got jealous of all her team mates getting all the news coverage and winning without her
1
Kierson Titus she let her team mates down..don't worry they will never forget that she cost them a gold medal because she didn't didn't feel up to competing
1
AndrewDeLong an yet she was able to win bronze in an individual event a few days later..you are carrying on as if she had a broken leg or something .
