  1. A great move by Trump. if there is an overload on processing resources then you can’t enter to claim asylum until the resource become available. It beats the ridiculous “catch and release “ situation where you are allowed into the country and never turn up for your court hearing

Those caught trying to enter illegally are processed off shore on islands and basically are detained there for years until their claim is fully processed. Most claims fail and they are sent home never having stepped on Australian soil.. This is very harsh process and is designed to send a message to others seeking to gain illegal entry..The message is “ don’t try entering illegally or you’ll end up rotting in a detention centre on an offshore island and if your claims fail you will be sent home” This has not only stopped all illegal entries by boats but has saved the lives of 1000’s of illegals from drowning in rough seas on overloaded unseaworthy vessels.
