August Johansson no barrier will stop those with the will and resources to get through it.however it doesn’t have to , all the barrier has to do is deter most people from even trying . Where these new 18 to 30 foot steel bollard fences have been erected, border control have shown that illegal entry has dropped by 90%.

@Robert Franz you’ve just shown how Pelosi is driven purely by politics when you say that “ there is nothing to be gained by giving trump anything” 70% of people want border security and the longer this goes the more people will realise trumps comprehensive package is supported by the experts at the border and the more they will want Pelosi to stop playing politics and compromise on a deal.

@Bxbby Xarcia . The cloture rule in the senate required 60 votes as opposed to 51 votes to approve the wall funding. That meant 9 democrats had to vote for the wall funding which of course even though they supported border security and physical barriers in the past , they took an obstructionist stance and refused to support it this time

@Trump Resigns “trumps wall” has come down from a 2000 mile concrete wall to 234 miles of steel bollard fences at appropriate locations suggested by border control experts. As soon as the public start to understand the new definition of the wall plus all the additional drones, drug detection technology, additional judges, beds, humanitarian needs funding etc, then you will find public opinion will turn to favour Trump’s position

@C B hold strong. Pelosi has backed herself into a very unreasonable corner and given that 70% on people want better border security, Pelosi is going to under a lot of pressure from her own congress who want to be re-elected to compromise and come up with a deal.
