  5. Libra Scales thanks for the detailed responses. I believe success comes from a state of mind and no matter what race you are or socioeconomic background or oppressed history you have the ones that succeed do have a belief in themselves, have great work ethic, push through barriers whether it be racism, sexism or whatever and more importantly they don’t act like victims If you look at sport and music. Black Americans dominate in these areas. There is no doubt that in the past there were racist barriers that prevented blacks from playing baseball and tennis and basketball, but through shear persistence and talent breakthroughs were made.I don’t think these early pioneers thought of themselves as victims , they just knew they were better and had to prove it and they did , paving the way for for other black Americans to follow suit. The same has to be done in other areas and I see Candace Owens as a strong black woman encouraging other blacks and women to not be held back by victimhood. Don’t use the history of oppression of your grandparents as a crutch to limit what you can achieve. In America every man or woman whether black white , yellow or whatever has equal opportunity to do whatever they want. The ones who fail have a victimhood mentality and no matter how much welfare or assistance you give them they will never succeed. I used the Japanese example to show that it was the strength of their culture that helped rise them to the top after a devastating history. They didn’t have a victimhood culture. The black community has also had a horrible history but many are still hanging onto past oppressions as a crutch that limits their ability to succeed. Candace Owens is trying to change the culture to one of “ yes, my grandparents were oppressed, but I sure as hell aren’t and I’ve got the exact same opportunity as anyone else in this great country”
