It’s about time the middle east sorted itself out. The US can’t be held responsible for policing them forever.

@killdriver a,k the Middle East has always been unstable. However, decades of interventionalist foreign policy and invasion and occupation has certainly not helped.

killdriver a,k the Middle East was destabilised since the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900s . Where the lands were split up and controlled by British and French forces whilst Arab nationalism was on the rise. The US had a isolationist policy during this period and did not get involved in the affairs of other countries. In fact the US only got involved in WW2 because the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. So when the US got involved in the Middle East because of oil, the Middle East was already destabilised. Having said that the US destabilised it a helluva lot more when they did get involved.

@Thomas O'Donnell I agree.. it’s about time the US revert back to its pre world war 2 policy of isolationism and non interventionalism.

@killdriver a,k I’m not disagreeing with you that US involvement has been a disaster in the Middle East. I’m just saying it was destabilised already and the US took advantage of this destabilisation.
