  6. @Dave Dee all NATO members have agreed to spend 2% of GDP on military .. the Danes haven’t met this commitment since 1989... if they can’t meet the requirements of NATO membership then they should be kicked out.

  7. @Federico Barrio Linares the last 4 or 5 US Presidents have criticised various NATO member for not meeting the 2% military spending target.. Trump is just the only one with the balls to act of it.

  10. @Friendly Tortoise Denmark’s military spending has been declining for decades and the last Time they were at 2% was in 1989. There is a school of thought that Denmark is just trying to wait out Trump and hope for a weaker US President like previous presidents who will let them slide with not meeting their commitments..A very risky option especially especially now since the recently elected prime minister has Pissed off Trump.
