  2. The Liberal That is the case in most western democratic countries and it's a good system in theory. However, lately the republicans have gone more to the right and the Democrats more to the left and there is not much middle ground. The reason that Trump became president is that the Democrats took the country way too far to the left and conservatives needed someone whose policies were capable of swinging the pendulum back to the right. So in reality it was the Democrats that enabled Donald Trump to become president, purely because they went too far left.
