CNN are hilarious this reporter inadvertently showed the vast majority of drugs don’t come through sections that have a wall..

So Jim Acosta inadvertently showed us there are no illegals coming through where walls exist and now this second CNN idiot inadvertently shows there are no drugs coming through where walls exist. The clown news networks living up to its name

@DracariaEntertainment No. He showed a walled area where drugs weren’t coming through..to show walls aren’t necessary he should have shown an area where there was no fence, however that wouldn’t fit the narrative that walls are not necessary because viewers would see the unfenced area and think anyone can get through here.

@Shawn Convery Even the mayor of Tijuana declared a humanitarian crisis 2 months ago when the last caravan overwhelmed his city. The southern border has been in crisis for 20 years but no president has had the guts to tackle it until Donald Trump

Shawn Convery when you get 52000 apprehensions a month , that’s 1700 a day at the southern border , then that is a crisis. When the mayor of the bordering Mexican town declares a humanitarian crisis because the infrastructure can not cope with thne5000 migrants squatting in his city then it is a crisis. When according to Doctors without Borders 1/3 of all women and girls are raped on this journey to the border with 70 % of people assaulted then it’s a crisis. when People are dying on this treacherous journey , most recently 2 young children and these are the ones we know off as many more are rotting in the middle of nowhere then this is a crisis. The bottom line is this crisis has got to be fixed and if the Democrats are not going to help fix this crisis then trump has to find other ways.

Improve detection capability at the ports of entry and guess what? they stop using ports of entry and try crossing in between ports of entry... therefore a wall will be even more necessary

@Shawn Convery visa overstays is a totally seperate issue that requires a different solution

DracariaEntertainment if a drug cartels really wants to get drugs into the country they will find a way. However by blocking the easy routes they are forced to come up with harder and harder options . Better drug detection ability at the ports of entry will force them to find other ways. tunnels are expensive and tunnel detection technology makes it even more difficult and a border wall closes of just driving across the border in an unfenced area..
1
@DracariaEntertainment The walls main job is to deter illegal immigrants from just crossing the border whenever they want. Reducing drugs entering is a secondary and tougher task but within that 5.7 billion funding request is technology for improved drug detection technology at the ports of entry.
1
@DracariaEntertainment Here’s a copy of the letter wall funding request to the Appropriations Committee, you will notice a lot of other things requested besides the wall funding.. 675 million for “Counter weapons/ narcotics technology “ at ports of entry is one of them https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Final-Shelby-1-6-19.pdf
1
@DracariaEntertainment you’re right. This package is the offer that has been put to congress to vote on. It will cost more than 5.7 billion but I think the package strikes the right balance to address most of the issues that needs to be fixed at the border
1
@DracariaEntertainment even though that seems like a lot to us it is an extremely small amount relative to the 4.4 trillion that makes up the federal budget.

@Colin Kunkel when they install new drugs detection technology at the ports of entry where do you think traffickers will go to to try and get their drugs into the country?
1
@Tillie11351 the improved drug detection technology at ports of entry and effective walls will force cartels to find alternative options . Tunnels are very expensive and requires removal of truckloads of soil. Tunnel detection technology and monitoring of unusual earthworks near the border makes it hard to build a tunnel without detection. Of course you can’t stop all drugs coming across but at least make it harder for them
1
Swnsasy _ when Trump gets approval for the 675 million for installing new narcotics detection technology at the ports of entry do you really think drug cartels will risk using ports of entry anymore? Logic suggests that they try to find other channels to get their drugs into the country. This means they try to get their drugs across the border where where there is no fencing or inadequate fencing or they try constructing expensive tunnels.
1
Swnsasy _ of course a wall alone is not enough. That’s why Trump has requested funding for new drug detection technology at ports of entry, 75 additional judges, more beds, humanitarian funding needs, more border staff as well as drones etc.
1
@Swnsasy _ Here’s the letter to the appropriations committee asking for all these things https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Final-Shelby-1-6-19.pdf
