Of course people are happy to receive free money

You do realise Biden’s executive orders have killed 100s of thousands of working class jobs in the oil and gas industry

What a load of crap, if we were all progressives then the US would be Venezuela by now

@n?a so was it trump who forced infected elderly residents back into aged care facilities , or was the Governor Cuomo and Whitmer?
3
@sophierobinson2738 everyone would benefit even more if the governments just opened up the economy and sent kids back to school so that people can work again to support their families . Handouts are a bandaid solution that won’t do much at all,
2
He didn’t have to close the borders as the Australian government had already closed the international borders. That idiot leader in Perth just killed the West Australian tourism industry for nothing and separated interstate families for nearly 12 months .

The average tax return for everyone was $2800 . So the tax cuts were for everyone

@renshin5671 China is still building another 184 coal powered plants , so dont for one second believe they are reducing emmisions. They are by far the biggest CO2 emitter in the world and it’s increasing
2
@renshin5671 you really need to do some research. China and India are the world biggest polluters and according to the Paris climate accord. China and India are considered developing nations and don’t have to start reducing CO2 emission until 2030.. I guarantee you when 2030 comes around China will not do anything to reduce its emissions, the CCP have been playing a gullible west for years .
2
@renshin5671 science doesn’t care about per capita emissions it only cares about absolute emissions and China is the biggest emitter in the world and they expect their emission to continue to rise until 2030. The US has had the greatest reduction in CO2 emissions of any country for a number of years now... the way they got there in through steadily switching from coal fired power to gas fired power as gas emits up to 60% less CO2 than coal.
2
@DOLfirst the market drives change ... when renewables plus batteries are become cheaper and more reliable than fossil fuels the world will naturally switch to renewables
2
@sophierobinson2738 many states like Florida are already opened up and kids have always been going to school without any negative effects . The rest of the country needs to follow suit.

@renshin5671 Biden signed an executive order to kill all explorations for oil and gas on federal lands and waters . This will cause the loss of 120000 jobs in Texas alone
1
@renshin5671 It is estimated that Texas has oil and gas reserves to last another 85 years . So there is no rush to kill off oils and gas jobs . When the cost and reliability of renewables is cheaper than oil, gas and coal fired power then the market will naturally switchover to renewables , in the meantime Texas will continue with existing oil gas and coal power.

@renshin5671 I’m a physicist .
1
@renshin5671 go away and do some research. I’m not wasting any more time on you
1
@nancywillaby629 Texas alone will lose 120000 jobs in oil and gas due to the Biden executive order to halt all exploration of oil and gas in federal lands and waters ... Google it ffs.
1
@macaronisalad5 wow !how much much more brainwashed can you get?
1
@johncronin9540 when you have people like Obama and Mr climate Change Al Gore buying beach front property , then that should give you an idea that not even the advocates for catastrophic climate change believe their own crap.

@puellamservumaddominum6180 firstly , it’s not a “new” green energy and it’s being developed and built , secondly , the government is propping up green energy and once the market decides renewables plus batteries are less expensive and equally reliable as gas and coal , then it will naturally switch to renewables , until then gas especially is doing fine
