New York has 5 times the number of coronavirus deaths as Florida
26
@Kevin Montrond rubbish!. The daily death rate for Florida has average 30 a day since April
10
@Kevin Montrond wrong again. The new infections are vastly in the 18 to 44 age group who have nearly no chance of dying. The data suggests that there isn’t an increase in the elderly catching the virus.
8
Total Florida coronavirus deaths 3447, total New York Coronavirus deaths 17800 ... shhhh Fredo
5
@Lilly Patrick the one thing we know is that if you are under 44 you have 0.2% of dying from COVID-19, if you are 80 plus you have 20% chance of dying...as long as the elderly are isolated and looked after the death rate won’t spike even if the new cases for young people spikes.
3
@Barbara Radulski the new infections data doesn’t reflect the idea that young people are bringing the virus back to elderly relatives. So As long as the elderly are isolated the death rate won’t spike
3
@Captain Win idiotboy, the data suggests that it won’t because they are not stupid like New York and allow infected people get anywhere near Nursing homes or other elderly people
2
@Galva Tron NO New York got hit by an incompetent Governor who sent elderly patients infected with coronavirus back into nursing homes resulting in 5800 deaths.
1
@Galva Tron also the data shows that the new infections in Florida are nearly all in the 18 to 44 year old age bracket , who have a 0.2% of dying.
1
@PPanda0421 Idiotboy, What part of “the vast majority of those catching the virus are young people who don’t die from it “ don’t you get?
1
@John Jackson you’re right, however we can only go by the data , which shows there is no spike in elderly people catching the virus , so we can predict there won’t be any major increase in deaths . In fact the data shows the daily death rate has stayed pretty flat at about 30 people a day since early April.
1
@Ian Dalziel your graph shows daily death rates are flat. The predictions are as worthless as all other prediction of mass deaths.
1
@Jose S Idiotboy. Florida 21.5 million, New York 19.4 million
1
@Robert Lee Look at the data FFS. There is no spike in cases for the elderly who are 100 times more likely to die than someone under 44. That means the young infected people are not mixing with their elderly relatives or more likely the elderly relatives are making sure none of these idiots are coming anywhere near them
1
@Reece Welch it’s true that death lag behind.. however a good predictor of deaths is the age of the people being infected. The data shows that it is young people who are catching it , whereas the elderly are obviously smart enough to keep away from these young infected people.
1
@Hamilton Rodgers Idiotboy look at the data. The numbers of elderly people catching the virus is not spiking. That means they are smart enough to do the right thing and avoid catching the virus.

Image X idiotboy, it’s spelt “ soul” and I’m a physicist.
