The rest of her answer was dancing around the question without specifically answering it , so expect her to be asked this question again until she Clearly state she condemns FGM.

What kind of idiot would keep an issue alive by refusing to provide a definitive yes / no answer especially on such an easy thing to condemn as FGM? Any smart politician would kill off any doubt by simply saying “ Of course I condemn FGM” and I don’t care if you have to keep saying that over and over again Her constantly playing the victim and refusal to answer questions that scrutinise her will be her downfall. An example is the claim that she married her brother to commit immigration fraud...Now , because she refused to answer any questions on this subject , it has sewed doubt in people and lead to extremely in-depth investigations into the claim resulting in uncovering of many other related felonious activities that will eventually bring her down... Similarly by keeping the FGM question alive , I wouldn’t be surprised if some investigative journalism ensues trying to find some “ gotcha evidence” and end up digging up some other unrelated dirt on her in the process.. So I’ll repeat the advice. Just say “ Yes , I condemn FGM “ and move on and she might survive her first term in congress, but it’s not looking very likely.

Also recent reports by left leaning outlets like the Star Tribune who wouldn’t until recently touch this story. There are supporting tax documents, police reports, marriage documents, as well as some very compelling extracts from her and her brothers social media pages that anyone who cared to go in with an open mind would conclude that there is something there.

It’s sound bites and one line statements that most people absorb I guarantee you most people have not got the time or inclination to investigate Omar’s voting record or past statements. All they see is that Omar was asked a direct and simple question and she danced around it ..For those many people who don’t follow her they leave asking themselves why Omar just didn’t condemn FGM with a straight yes answer, it’s a “thou doth protest too much” kind of message she is projecting . However who do you think can challenge him out of the possible candidates? They’ve all said they support universal healthcare for all including illegal immigrants, they’ve all supported the economy killing Green New Deal, They are all against securing the border.
