These 5 are as guilty as sin . They confessed with their parents present , got rightfully convicted then 13 years later weak pandering politician Bill De Blasio had them exonerated for political reasons

@killedthecat1034 sure! The doctors who examined her believed there was more than one rapist based of physical evidence … so yeah the DNA picked up one of the rapist

@killedthecat1034 we will never know as the case was settled without testing all the previous physical evidence of multiple attackers and their confessions that convicted them versus the confession and DNA 13 years later.

@killedthecat1034 it was 1989 so DNA testing wasn’t really the goto tool as it was still relatively new so samples weren’t treated or collected properly . As I said there so much other evidence and witnesses ( there were 37 boys running around the park that night beating up people ) and these witnesses identified the 5 plus another guy they thought his name was Rudy ( was actually Reyes ) who also graoed her and stole her Walkman … now Reyes actually said he stole her Walkman without being prompted so he was there with the rest of them .

These “ boys “ confessed and gave details only people who were involved while their presents were there . They were rightfully convicted and the only reason they were exonerated 13 years later was new Mayor Bill de Blasio settled the case for political reasons
