  10.  @sebcw1204  when I was 16 as a schoolboy I jumped a length that would have got me 3rd place in the Olympics in women’s long jump and I didn’t even win my event .. I say that because I want to highlight how much advantage boys let alone men have over women when it comes to sports. You would have heard the story of the US women’s world champion soccer team being thrashed by a state based under 15s boys team and there are numerous other examples that show that boys let alone men are way stronger and faster and have higher lung capacity , bone density and number of explosive fast twitch muscles than women have . So When a man transitions and his testosterone drops to that of a woman it doesn’t matter whether you wait 1 year or 5 years for a man to lose 50% of his muscle strength. As it doesn’t reduce his 6 foot 2 height, it doesn’t reduce his increased lung capacity or amount of fast twitch muscle fibres or his bone density So he still retains a significant advantage over other women. We also know that if he wants to build muscle, in the off season all he has to do is get of the oestrogen for a while , build the muscle then get back on the oestrogen before he competes again. To me this is just not fair to women and the only solution is to say biological males cannot compete against women . Now I think it’s ridiculous for children with gender dysphoria to take puberty blockers or any other so called “ gender affirming “ procedures as these kids aren’t old enough to make such a major irreversible life changing decision. So there’s no way I’d be OK with it to allow them to play sport by transitioning before the onset of puberty. I think transgender people seem to want their cake and to eat it. But they’ve got to realise that you can’t always get what you want especially if means other people will be disadvantaged. They can still play sport in the men’s or in mixed leagues at a level suitable to their standard . I think that’s the only solution.
