Democrats voted for the 2006 Secure Fences act prior to Trump taking office. When trump won office all Democrats voted against a border wall,

KKK was founded by Democrats in 1865 to oppose the Republicans parties bid to free the slaves

@OTOKAGEBEATS the left can’t deny the Democrats started the KKK , so it’s hilarious how you people try rewriting history to try and look like the good guys . Now let’s see if you know your rewritten history, are you talking about the big switch in the 1930s with Roosevelt or the other mythical big switch in the 1960s with Nixon’s “southern strategy” ?

@akaqueen6370 everyone disavows Richard Spencer , however, the point is a white supremacist believes Joe Biden would help him achieve his white supremacy goals rather than Donald Trump.
2
She’s a biased hack. Democrats supported the 2006 Secure Fences Act and then voted against Trumps border wall. I bet she has never mentioned that fact before
2
@dalebabcock722 they voted for 700 miles of secure border fences
2
@dalebabcock722 well , firstly the border wall bill needed 60 votes in the senate which meant a handful of democrats had to join the Republicans to pass the bill.. secondly 450 miles of border wall built which was pretty close to all trump was going to do as natural terrain was enough to deter people from crossing for most of the border. In terms of Mexico paying for the wall, it’s only you lefties who care who payed for the wall. Conservatives are just happy it got built .
2
And yet you keep talking about him

@OTOKAGEBEATS tell us about how well known white supremacist Richard Spencer endorsed Joe Biden for the 2020 election.
1
@akaqueen6370 the left love rewriting history...pretty soon you will be saying Lincoln fought against freeing the slaves
1
@OTOKAGEBEATS you obviously lack compression skills , I dispute your “ switch “ assertion” Democrats have always been the racists.

@dalebabcock722 fence / wall are just terms for barrier , in fact Democrats were trying to mock trump and say his wall is actually a fence. As far as the voting goes, we all know Democrats voted was against the border wall funding and Pelosi and Schumer have consistently said they will not fund a border wall. So even if other spending was attached to the border wall Bill, Democrats were focused on ensuring any Bill with border wall spending would not pass.

X2 GI what the hell has that got to do with anything?
1
X2 GI Pelosi was never going to give Trump a victory by allowing funding for the wall, Trump eventually used the courts to go around her and got funding from reallocated military funds and he basically got 90% of the wall built.
1
X2 GI 60 votes was required in the senate to pass any border wall funding bill... that means a few democrats needed to cross the floor to pass the bill . That of course didn’t happen in the first 2 years.. when the democrats won the house , Pelosi blocked any chance of funding approval from the house. That is why Trump went around her and found funding from other sources.

@dalebabcock722 firstly the wall is designed to slow people down in order for border security to detect them and then detain them before they escape into the country. As far as people getting into the country there are still sections of the border that isn’t compete so they can either get through that way or if they are resourceful enough they can scale the wall. After they enter US territory, they know that because Biden has reinstated catch and release policy that they will be allowed to stay in the US while waiting for their hearing, which they never turn up to. Of course most of the existing fencing was uselessness vehicle barriers and broken down wire fences . This was replaced by a 30 foot steel bollard wall filled with concrete and with anti climb plates at the top
1
@dalebabcock722 of course the money was well spent . Where the wall was built it reduced border crossing by 90% , its simply a numbers game, if under Trump border policies if 1000 people try getting past the wall only 100 make it through, however under Biden’s border policy a lot more people are trying to get in , so if 10000 people try getting in 1000 will make it . In my opinion the wall had to be build but more importantly a policy deterrent had to also be in place to deter people from even trying to get in and that policy was the “catch and release “ policy which Trump ended and Biden reinstated.
1
@Brandy Courvoisier most of the border had useless fences since the 2006 secure fences Act . so off course the wall was going to be replacing existing fences . However there is a big difference between a 6 foot wire fence and a 30 foot steel bollard wall.
