There was no violence until the police got involved
28
Bullshit. There is absolutely no link to the protests. NSW have linked 80% of all cases to south west Sydney and is mainly due to household transmission and the move of essential workers in that area
9
Australia has had under 1000 Covid deaths , how many deaths has your shithole of a country had ?
7
Raiders you obviously haven't got a clue. the data is based in the population that is eligible for vaccination and these are people who are over 16. There have been no deaths in Australia for anyone under 19 and vaccines were not approved for young people so they are not included in the total population eligible for vaccination.
7
Raiders where the hell are you getting your data from ? It's obviously not the official Australian government health website " health.gov.au" I'll keep it simple for you. Over 16 population is 20619995, total double dosed is 6240640 which makes up 30.27% Now go back to debating someone you're capable of debating
7
Raiders not you again . We have 100 or so people in ICU, and there are 2500 ICU beds available for Covid in Australia
5
Piss of with this antivaxxer BS I'm vaccinated and support their fight against these ridiculous lockdowns for an average of about 2 deaths a day mainly of 80 plus years old with numerous comorbidities
5
Raiders mate I'm vaccinated and support these anti lockdown protesters . The protests are about the lockdowns, not the vaccines
5
Who is this fool? Australia vaccinations rate is surging and should achieve 80% target by the end of October
4
C D ourworldindata is not up to date. Vaccinations are surging and at around 31% fully vaccinated now.
4
lightweight0829 you idiot , of course it's in Sydney . The outbreak started from a limo driver who caught it from airline crew he was driving around. It wasn't from the protests.. do some some research before making yourself look like a fool
3
People are losing their businesses and livelihoods. Suicides , domestic violence , substance abuse are all up thanks to these ridiculous lockdowns and there have only been under 1000 deaths since this started 18 months ago.
3
Only Me they don't represent a minority view. They just have the balls to fight for the rights of the rest of the population
3
el there wouldn't have been any violence if the police weren't there. That's an undeniable fact
3
We've got barely 100 people in ICU. don't believe the bullshit in this report
3
Lockdowns work great at destroying businesses and livelihoods
2
The only way you'll get done by Christmas is if you get a huge scare when delta starts ripping through your population
2
Gentle Heart kids are getting sick because Delta is much more contagious and kids are not vaccinated . However you will notice nearly all the deaths in NSW are in over 80s who have co morbidities , not the children .
2
K Hill suicides in Victoria did not change in the first 47 weeks of of the pandemic , however a new study has shown that one in 10 of the 634 deaths to date have been linked to Covid stress.
2
We've had less than a 1000 deaths, and will be 80% fully vaccinated by November. I think we've got a pretty good handle in it
1
Suzanne Snow everyone over 18 can take the AstraZeneca and that's according to ATAGI ( Australia's expert immunisation body) . We are also doing around 300 000 jabs a day and projections have us at 80% fully vaccinated by November . Admittedly thing will slow down when we get to around 70% but I'm confident the 80% target will be reached.
1
nicky wilson 800 of those deaths were in Victoria before a vaccine was available. Since then nearly all resident in agedcare are vaccinated and so are the vulnerable . That's why there are so few deaths in the relatively large outbreak in NSW, because the vulnerable are protected .
1
Non Sibi you've got no idea
1
lightweight0829 you idiot , the experts in health contact trace all cases so they know where people have been and who they been in contact with and as I've said earlier , 80% of all cases come from south west Sydney mainly from household transmission .not from the protesters
1
Stefanie Kokal so why hasn't contact tracing picked up any protesters ?
1
Stefanie Kokal police have identified many of these protesters through video footage . It's not that hard to cross reference positive cases with the police database of protesters
1
cervellone in Australia since the vaccine became available there have been about 80 deaths , the other 900 were pre vaccine . So do you really think it's worthwhile locking down half of Australia to " protect ". 80 plus year olds with co morbidities who couldn't be bothered getting vaccinated?
1
cervellone what the hell are you carrying on about? Lockdown do shit all. If You want protection from Covid then get vaccinated or move out to the middle of nowhere
1
Raiders well I suppose a total of 35 cases all year may be considered a huge scare for the sheep in NZL
1
William Springer it's the dominant strain and has ripped through India, the U.K. And now many parts of the US , china and basically the rest of the world
1
Red Sun not necessarily. I think you will find when the hysteria drops off , it will be like the flu where only the elderly and vulnerable will get annual vaccinations
1
Red Sun did you read what I wrote ? It will only be the elderly and vulnerable who will continue with annual vaccinations .
1
Red Sun well I'm vaccinated but I doubt once this hysteria dies down that I will be getting any boosters
1
Only Me if you are worried about Covid then get vaccinated but don't expect every bloody one less to mask up and get vaccinated for your safety. You people have no idea of personal responsibility.
1
30.27% are fully vaccinated and that number is going up like a rocket with an average of 300 000 jabs a day. Projections have us at 70% by October
1
Australia's vaccination rate is sky rocketing .projected to be 80% fully vaccinated by November
1
Peter Larsen mate I live in the NSW and we get daily press conferences about our situation so I've more than got a handle on what is happening in my country . We are at 30.26% double vaccinated for over 16s and on these figures it's projected to be 80% by November . Btw there are about 300000 vaccinations per day . So don't make me laugh with your half arsed analysis from afar.
1
Alan aka FANG I agree with that , I expect we will hit 70% pretty quickly and slow down a lot trying to achieve 80% however I've got no doubt that businesses who are really struggling to stay afloat will force their employees to get vaccinated ... I am no fan of that idea but I'm a realist.
1
Peter Larsen as I've said we are doing around 300 000 a day right now
1
Raiders mate you deleted your earlier incorrect comment because you realised what a fool you've been and now you're pretending you've always been on board ... hilarious
1
K Hill over 900 of those deaths were from before the vaccine was available . Since then agedcare resident have nearly all been vaccinated which leaves about 80 deaths of mainly 80 plus year olds who couldn't be bothered getting vaccinated . So yeah I'll take being out of lockdown to reduce the 63 suicide from the state of Victoria alone.
1
paul ovaska most people are anti lockdown. When you have no deaths in Victoria all year and in the middle of your 6th lockdown then you would be anti lockdown as well.
1
dwj77 and good on these brave people . They are willing to take a hit for the rights of the rest of us
1
Vicki Boucher if you're worried about Covid then get vaccinated you fool . Why do you expect everyone else to be responsible for your health?
1
Julie Ring I live in NSW and am right in the middle of these lockdowns. And please explain what sort of violence were you expecting these anti lockdown protesters to commit? And on who or what? The bottom line is if the police had allowed them to peacefully continue on their protest then there would have been no violence
1
Vicki Boucher if you really want to protect the people you care for then get them bloody vaccinated . It's hilarious that you protect yourself and then try and justify it as if you are doing it to protect your loved ones.
1
Vicki Boucher year police are always at protests but how many time have you been at a protest where police fired rubber bullets into the crowd?
1
newmove what a load of rubbish. The only thing extending the lockdowns is slow rates of vaccination . So the protesters have more than likely inadvertently jumpstarted the vaccination rates because people are scared they may cause an out break which of course is not supported by any evidence.
1
Julie Ring , the fact you've never heard of Dorian Gray is an hilarious indictment of your lack of intelligence
1
Julie Ring you have no idea of why people were protesting in Melbourne . Many had lost their businesses and livelihoods from their 6 th lockdown total over 200 days and they've got nothing left now but to try and fight to get their lives back again
