  5. CIA_Proxy Declaring a national emergency should not have been required when congress have the ability to fix the problem. He tried that path but came across obstructionist Democrats and weak minded Republicans. He also sent the military to the border to protect it so he has been treating it like a national emergency already. He tried shutting down the government to get this border crisis sorted out . The only reason he is declaring this a national emergency now as he has exhausted all other means to solve this border crisis.

  7. Shaun Campbell the tax cuts have been working great as the ones who are not getting as big a refund did not adjust their tax withholding so paid less tax during the year.. However , residents of high taxing states ( run by democrat governors ) such as California , New Jersey and others have suffered because of a $10000 deduction limit of state and local taxes (SALT) . So call your local governor and lobby them to reduce unnecessary spending and reduce state taxes as the the rest of the nation is no longer going to subsidise their taxes..
