  6. @Josh Jones more Republicans than Democrats proportionally voted for the civil rights act of 1964. Roughly 60% of Democrats voted for it and 80 % of Republicans voted for it . You seem to forget that fact.

  7. @Josh Jones rubbish. The facts are that in the house 94 Democrats voted against the civil rights bill and only 34 Republicans voted against it . In the senate 21 Democrats voted against it and only 6 Republicans voted against it. If it wasn’t for Republicans the civil rights act would not have passed .
