  4. Congress are a coequal branch to the executive branch and can’t order them to do anything. That’s why the third branch of government exists to arbitrate disputes.. it’s called the court system. The responsibility lies with congress to go to court if it wants to test whether it’s subpoena are enforceable.

The Dems sent in subpoenas , the Whitehouse using executive privilege to ignore subpoenas. , The next move would be for the Dems to take it to court and let them decide. The fact that the Dems couldn’t be bothered taking this to court is not obstruction of congress, it’s the Dems not using the constitutional tools available to them.

That is why the third branch of government is there to arbitrate. If the Dems aren’t willing to use the constitutional step of going to court then that is not obstruction of congress, it’s the Dems not being bothered about following constitutional procedures.
