Notice how delinquent NATO nations especially those worried about Russia especially ex USSR states increased their military spending to meet the nato requirements of 2% of GDP military spending .
2
You mean left wing media as usual overplay Trumps remarks
2
And yet his words got the delinquent European NATO members to start meeting their military spending obligations ( especially the ex USSR countries)
2
@aaronpincus6095 mate, it’s called research. Look at the ex USSR nato members military spending before Trump and after Trump. He scared the crap out of them into meeting their obligations
2
This is trump relaying a success story from 6 years ago on how he got delinquent European NATO members to start doing their fair share … but of course more Rons like you think he did it because he loves Putin
1
@spiceyhotpot Russia invaded Crimea in March 2014. There were 3 ex USSR NATO members who were still way below the 2% of GDP spending requirement at the end of 2015.. after trumps comes to offices and lays down the law these 3 ex USSR Nato members suddenly met the military spending requirements… so yeah Trump can take credit

@natsterjam firstly more Ron, he’s retelling a story of 6 years ago when he was president. Secondly of course the world is paying attention to the leading contender for president of the US
1
@MiracleFound timing of spending suggests otherwise .
1
@meoff7602 of course I know that . What else could it be?
1
@meoff7602 NATO was formed in 1949 specifically to protect European countries from the threats of the USSR . So these countries loved the fact that the US had bases in their countries to give them added security. Now in terms of military spending, in 2006 it was agreed that all NATO members would do their bit to provide security by spending at least 2% of their GDP because at the time they were all just happy the sit back and let the US do the heavy lifting .
1
@marisabenson1222 a bit like Germany laughing at his warning that relying on Russian Gas is going to come back and bite them… well guess what? When Russia invaded Ukraine , it came back to bite those suckers running Germany
1
@davidbaker1918 I want to the leader of the free world to ensure workd peace through strength … that’s Trump
1
@reneem3895 if you think he made it up then what do you say to the crazy left wing press who selectively thinks he’s is speaking the gospel truth ?
1
@MiracleFound no! According to readily available data on annual NATO member spending
1
@amg5656 and how did it do that my incredibly gullible friend?
1
@EvieDoesYouTube you do realise he’s retelling a story from 6 or 7 years ago that got the desired effect of NATO members increasing their military spending as per nato member requirements ?
1
@seanconcannon7922 tell me on one politician who is any different
1
@NoDJT Russia invaded Ukraine In March 2014 . ex USSR nato members did not increase their military spending to meet the 2% requirements until after trump laid down the law in 2017. Wouldn’t you think in 2015 and 2016 these nations would have increased their spending after the Russian invasion ?
1
It’s funny how Trumps “ you’ll be met with fire and fury “ comment stopped North Korea in its tracks. It’s also funny how delinquent NATO members especially ex USSR member’s suddenly upped their military spending to the 2 % of GDP requirement after Trump suggested if they don’t then the US won’t protect them.. This is exactly the same method parent use to get their out of line kids to change their behaviour
