@LarryLopez91 last I checked Christopher Columbus was not in the confederate army nor was George Washington. However , mobs forcefully and illegally tearing down statues is more my concern then why the statutes were torn down

Now in public schools if you want your kids exposed to explicit material then go out and buy these readily available books and give it to them instead of expecting everyone else’s children to be exposed to them .

@LarryLopez91 I appreciate you taking the time to research these books . There’s no doubt appropriateness is subjective and would also depend on the children’s age , however, in a library Where children of all ages can access these books, I suspect they erred on the side of caution. The bottom line is if some parents really think these books are appropriate and educational for their kids to read then they can simply order them online. But I doubt too many parents will do that .
