Without Russia Islamic State would have reached the Mediterranean & worse without the Russian deal to disarm Syria's chemical weapons factories Islamic State would have those deadly weapons (not just primitive chlorine gas) & worse still NATO had intended bombing Syrian Government - if they had we would have no way of stopping IS now, BBC would be saying the beheading in Damascus "just vengeance"
